Community Involvement

Though Bruce Alexander was raised in Mequon, Wisconsin, his heart is with Door County and, together with his wife Jill, who was raised in Baileys Harbor, the owners of Alexander’s strive to give back to the amazing community of Door County.

After living in Door County for more than 25 years, Bruce and Jill have participated in and donated their time, energy, and of course – food, to such non-profit arts organizations as Peninsula Players, Door Community Auditorium, Peninsula Music Festival, and Midsummer’s Music Festival as well as to community organizations like the Northern Door YMCA, Friends of Gibraltar (FOG), and Peninsula Preschool in Ephraim—near and dear to their hearts—as Bruce and Jill are raising two children here in the County.

With a special interest in Alzheimer’s care, Alexander’s also participates in the Grand Scandia Golf Benefit, the proceeds of which benefit the Birchwood Special Care Unit of Scandia Village.
